Tasty

Wandering about my lair pisht as a newt on a fine Pinot-Noir, which is to say not at all because newts live in ponds which are for the most part entirely non-alcoholic. But it was a rather nice wine. Had it with some home cooking, which I’ve taken up again because I’ve found a tasty recipe that doesn’t dirty too many pots - names scrambled duck egg with smoked salmon and avocado. With toast, buttery. Its tasty licious, even if it does tread that infuriating line between ‘fine enough that use of a spoon is justified’ and ‘chunky enough that a gentleman would use a fork’. So far I’ve been surviving.

F0r those of you who’ve been about a while, you may recall that me saying ‘I made dinner’ for 2000-2004 meant (unless explicitly state otherwise) meant bacon, tomato and pesto with pasta and cheddar. I find that I’m just not having with stinking out the place with the smell of fried stuff anymore. Thought it is nice to have things that are actually worth eating.

And a table, I really, really like having a table. Tables are pretty cool when you think about it - you can both have the papers *and* your food *and* a drink in easy reach without have to do some balancing act or stand at a bench.

Fortnight to go. Tic Toc, Tic Toc.
