It’s been an odd weekend. While I have happily avoided any misfortune other than an ill-informed film choice (I warn you now: “The Fountain” is not a light, fluffy, Hugh Jackman action piece), many others I know or am connected with have met with differing measures of disaster this past holiday weekend.
