Just because you’re paranoid…
by dixie
Several readers here maintain their own blog spaces and have experienced my slight (haha) paranoia about keeping my pix and personal info out of the public eye. My #1 reason for this is because my personal and professional lives are separate, and I don’t want prospective employers to make notes in the margins of my CV based on what I do in my off time. Am I crazy for thinking people do this? Apparently not.
In unrelated news, thank you for the cluster name suggestions.

Did we find a winner?
unbelievable. actually. the most amazing thing about it is how mundane the picture is.
The debate on the cluster name continues, and probably will until the thing is put together. (Currently the corridor is clogged with Dell boxes; I assume this will need to be done quickly before the Department of Safety finds out we’ve practically closed off a section of the sub basement.) I will certainly post an update when a name is chosen.
Yeah, things are getting freaky with the whole employee-stalking business. After I was hired recently, my employer informed me that it was standard procedure to check everyone’s Facebook profile. Thankfully I don’t keep anything on mine (not that there’s really much to incriminate me anyway), but still. It was mildly disturbing.
