I had an utter brainlapse today - my current set of Sony earphones are falling to bits and I need a new set. I went to Currys and walked out with a set of Sennheiser’s. A few minutes down Union street my brain finally snaps to and goes ‘wait - why do you have earphones?’ and I thought because I need them to listen to music to blot out my officemates and… oh.
Sennheisers are not in ear sound baffling ones. They’re just earphones. I managed to go shopping with one requirement and in a rack of earphones that all met that requirement choose one of the three out of twelve that didn’t. I need to get some sleep.

It’s especially impressive Billy, since Sennheiser do several sets of really really good passive noise reduction one’s like the CX-300s for much less than the model you bought.

This is the extreme version of having a purpose for walking into a room then, three steps in, realising you’ve forgotten what you walked in there for.
Irritating on any level, really.
