Some days, the world can just go an shite. I present, for your delectation, dialogues with my brain for this morning.
Me: “Ok, brain, we have to get organised. No more messing, we’ve got a lot to do this week and I want you to make sure you’re planning things and on top form”
My Brain: “That’s all fine, but we left our wallet back in the flat, so you need to take the long way to work”
Me: *sigh*
I’ll go and get it at lunchtime, and feel twice defeated for the privilege.

I left home this morning at a reasonable hour (itself an acheivement I’m sorry to say) only to discover on waiting for the Luas that I’d left my glasses on the bedroom windowsill.
I could have gone back for them, but that would have added half an hour to my trip, and destroyed any virtue of earliness that I’d managed to achieve.
So, a pyrrhic victory, and a day of squinting at monitors.
I think we both may have a case of the Mondays.
