There has also been quite a stir in my two primary extracurricular activities (knitting and Doctor Who — gaming, sadly, has taken a back seat since everyone I gamed with has moved away or the games have dissolved). I’ve been collecting links for a Ravelry newsletter article, and will cross-post here once that’s done. (The Rav links won’t do most of you any good, but there’s a good handful of external links as well.)

I read something about this the other day – the Beeb said that they only took exception once her designs, and finished examples of those designs, started being sold on Ebay by other people.
Basically, as soon as they realised cash could be (and was being) made from it, they let slip the lawyers.
The proper course of action, then, would be to go after those people making the plushies, not the pattern designer.
The whole affair seems to be resolving itself, though. Stay tuned. I’m writing it all up today or tomorrow.
