The California legislature has approved a bill to create a holiday hono(u)ring Harvey Milk, “the first openly gay man elected to any substantial political office in the history of the planet.” He was assassinated, presumably because he had the poor manners to work to better his community and also be gay.

More than half of the students polled by an NYU journalism class said they would trade their vote in the next election for either a year’s college tuition or an iPod.
This one is a no-brainer, people. The only question that remains is who is willing to buy my vote?
